ART!

I LOVE ART! but it can be too stressful sometimes! i'm the kind that enjoys doing art when i feel like doing it. i hate doing art when you feel like you 'have' to! like exams. its just too stressful because of the datelines and all. its like.... x___x ugh! but lately, i've been enjoying it more. maybe because all my exams are now over!! :D except for Art. one more component to go!

this is some of my acrylic paint collection! ok not mine. its my mother's but she kind of 'abandon' it. she do egg decorating. her works are AMAZING. lol. i didnt even expect it was hers at first :P but she kind of stopped doing it anymore. dont know why. i thought im the only one in the family who's into art! my other brothers and sisters are more into sciences, computing, maths and business. i'm into Art, Computing & Sociology :P i hate maths btw!!!

my brush collection. most of these sucks. haha. especially that $9.90 worth of brushes(black one). i prefer my 90cents ones!!

i just finished my Art Component 1 yesterday. the theme i chose was 'making up'. here's my prep work.

weirdly proportioned! hair not completed.. was such in a rush. 

her hair here too was not finished too ;( i was such in a rush, didnt even bother to highlight the hair.

& for my final piece. the most important work of any component. i used my niece as a model. 

above is real picture. below is my artwork. see how i changed the scenery? :P i wanted to contrast the trend of little girls wearing make up. i dont support it btw, its a way of saying that they shouldnt care about their looks at such a young age.

though im taking Alevels. this year is actually my first time taking Alevel Art. Last year i took English Literature. but since i transfered school, i changed it to Art. so, please bear with me the flaws of my art skills :( im still learning! i think i've improved though. below is the first potrait i've ever done. lol. this was in May i think. see how i improved? btw, thats my mum, but didnt managed to get the sketch look like her. infact, it looks like my auntie(my mum's twin sister) lol.

and now lets talk bout my component 2! this was made during february. my first art exam. my theme was 'garden'..

this is an artist work. we have to do artworks exactly like what our choice of artist did. im sorry i cant remember the artist name! but the title of this is 'false mirror'. i think i did a pretty good job on this ;D

artist work too. 'the apology' if im not mistaken. many of my friends love this! thats a good thing! im glad i made this!

i know i've got a lot to learn, but im slowly improving :) though i enjoy doing art, i dont really plan on taking Art as a profession. i dont wanna be an Art teacher, or whatsoever. i prefer doing art as a hobby rather than a 'must' :P hey, i dont wanna hate art cause of my job! 

btw as you probably noticed, im more into 'cartoon' art. i tend to 'cartoonized' my art! i even been labeled as 'the girl who do cartoon' in my art class. i really dont like doing 'realistic' art. sorry, but i cant see the art in it ;o okay i appreciate it. but i rather do something that doesnt exist. i LOVE artworks like mermaid, medusa, goblins, zombies, etc. Tress, houses, lake, beaches? errr not my thing. :p anyway, thats it for today's post!
