Skin79's Smart Clear Refresh Cleansing Foam Review

Skin79's Smart Clear Refresh Cleansing Foam

i bought this off with low expectation, really. i spent this with my voucher and the skin79 girl suggested me this since i have oily skin. i didnt really want to buy, never wanted this. its because i always choose a cleanser that is for whitening. but since i dont know what to spend my voucher on, i got this anyway

"Eco Mild Clean effect to regulate the ideal balance for skin that remains healthy skin"

"Minute, abundant foam deep cleanses not only make-up residue but also dead skin cells to calm skin that has become sensitive for fresh, smooth skin. Eco Mild Complex, made with ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Acerola Extracts calms skin stressed from internal and external irritants while preventing skin troubles for healthy skin. Phyto Soap Complex, made of ingredients such as Rice Bran and Yucca Extract, and patented Camellia Flower Extract controls sebum and cleanses pores for fresh, clear skin" - from the packaging

"Soft and creamy foam gently wraps around the skin to sleekly cleanse away all makeup residues while also helping to maintain skin's moisture oil balance for skin that is shiny and moist. Berrcyanin, made with berry ingredients such as Elderberry, Aroniaberry, and Acaiberry controls the balance of skin prone to having that balance broken while also protecting the skin from the harmful environment for healthy, lively skin. Pumpkin Enzyme evens out roughened skin to help maintain clear skin while the patented ingredient Levan Extract helps form a protective barrier so that the skin is left soft without tightness after cleansing" - taken from Skin79's site
 MY REVIEW
first week of using this, i didnt 'love' or 'hate' it. it was just a regular cleanser that simply does nothing! so i stopped using for a while. then i was getting little blemishes all over my cheeks due to my upcoming period, and none of my usual cleansers helped get rid of them(even the one specially for blemish one!). so then i found this Skin79 sitting on my make up box and i then again read the description.. "Eco Mild Complex, made with ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Acerola Extracts calms skin stressed from internal and external irritants while preventing skin troubles for healthy skin." this sentence made me give this cleanser another chance. lol. just days using this, my blemishes just POOF! gone! it really calms my skin and its been weeks and im still using this now cause my skin feels "healthy" using this o.o this is GREAT for sensitive skin. i dont have sensitive skin and i dont have that many acne to complain about, but i love this cleanser! especially during this upcoming exam period, & im stressing alot. usually when i stress too much, i'll get little pimples, but this cleanser "prevents" skin troubles :P you know what, im glad i gave this a second chance ;)

Love
  • Calms/Heals my blemishes
  • Face become less oily
  • Prevents skin troubles
  • Removes make-up residue
    Hate
    • I hate that it doesnt give me that "glow" after cleansing :( i know it doesnt promise that, but i want my face to glow after cleansing :P
& btw, this is for oily skin. they have another version of this for dry skin. never tried it, so dont know if it works the same :) and just sayin', my boyfriend uses Homme cleansing wash, and he said his blemishes was gone too! i agree, i do see noticeable results. & my friend uses A.C Clinic wash, she has sensitive skin and she suffered from acne for a longgg time and she said the wash calms her acne and her face feels/looks less oily, esp her nose area. even my other friend was tempted to try skin79! i gotta say, GOOD JOB SKIN79!

    Price : $32.90
(quite pricey for a cleanser, & sorry i dont know any other cheaper substitute for this one!)

    Bio-essence Deep Exfoliating Gel

    Bio-essence Deep Exfoliating Gel

i think the packaging looks very calming ;)

Directions: apply gel onto dry skin with dry fingers and massage gently in circular motions for about one minute. Rinse off with water.
Daily use is recommended, safe on the eye area.

everytime i bought this, the tube always seems a bit dirty? see below.

this is how the gel looks like

    applied on dry skin

rub rub rub for one minute.. picture below, only rubbed for like 20seconds. lol.

    LOVE
    • VERY gentle on the skin, GREAT for sensitive skin
    • face brightens & feels smooth after every use
    • doesnt break me out at all

    HATE
    • 60ml only.... so little. it took me around less than 2 months to use up(and thats only like once a week)
    • i just wish it is fragrance free. im not sure how it smells like. maybe its floral-scented?
    •  the dirty packaging bit
okay despite all the hate, this is my favorite exfoliator YET. i prefer gel-based than scrubs to exfoliate my skin and this is actually my third tube. btw, i think exfoliate is one of the most essential thing to have healthy complexion. seriously, i only started to exfoliate like 2 years ago...?! and it really does a difference to your skin. all you need to do is start finding the right exfoliator for your skin! my suggestion? try a gel-based first :)

    price : around B$9-B$10 for 60ml

Hado Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion Review

Hado Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion

what tempted me to buy this is that it claims that 1 SOLD EVERY 4 SECONDS IN JAPAN!

okay, its not just that that made me buy this lotion. i read about this product like a lonnnggg time ago and always wanted to buy it but i never did. reviews all over the world are like 98% good. lol.

so what is this anyway? i know it says lotion. but its actually a toner. japanese toner, to be accurate. in japan, they call lotion "toner" ;)

    *from the packaging*
    • instantly hydrates skin and helps preserve its optimum moisture balance
    • replenishes and locks-in moisture for complete hydration. skin feels significantly soft and supple
    • helps improve dry and dehydrated skin, leaving it silky smooth
    • skin pH balanced. Low irritation
    • free of fragrance, mineral oil, alcohol & colorant

this is how it looks like.. sorry i cant take a better picture. haha. cause its like water but thicker. japanese toner are always thicker than western ones.

How to apply: Pour a few liberal drops on your palm and rub both hands together before patting your face gently and then massaging the lotion evenly onto the skin.

okay, you must use the PATTING method. not the cotton swipe method thing. here's a video on how to use it!

okaay, i think she use a bit too much cause you can see waters splatters everywhere ;P and she patted too much too. lol. so basically, you just use like 4-6 drops and pat GENTLY until it absorbs. your face will feel a little sticky when it absorbed, but it'll go away soon enough. but since i have oily skin(i think), i only use 4 drops. dry skin could use more. oh BTW, oily skin can skip your moisturizer if you're using this. i dont know, i didnt use any moisturizer. this lotion is hydrating enough for me. im sure if i use my moiturizer, my face will get oily.

i've only used this for like almost 3 weeks? and the bottle looks like i've only used it for a week ;D

    LOVE
    • hydrates my skin
    • makes my skin soft and supple
    • made my face less oily
    • NO SCENT AT ALL!
    • doesnt break me out at all
    • money friendly(B$19 for 170ml, can use up to 3 months or more)
    • i just love the packaging!
    HATE
    • its not popular here in brunei hahaha. im sure most of our people here never heard of this o.o
definitely worth my money! for bruneians, you can buy this any Guardian store! ;D yay available locally.

*for dry skin, if its necessary, dont just rely on the lotion to hydrate your skin. use moisturizer afterwards* :)

    Skin79's Simple Touch Eyeliner Review

    SKIN79's Simple Touch Eyeliner/Tattoo Eyeliner

"Soft and elastic brush helps to make clear eyeline easily and quickly, and it lasts for a long time"

    how the brush looks like

    the claims : SMUDGE-FREE

lets prove it!!! :P comparison with my usual eyeliner

*smudge smudge* wahhh, skin79's smudge-free :P claim proven!

so, is it water resistant? nooooooo! :o but i guess its ok cause as far as i can see, i dont see it claims that it is water-proof. does it? i cant read korean T.T

ways to apply eyeliner on different eyelids. "make a fine line as close as possible on eyelashes after lifting up eyelids a bit in front of a mirror as if filling them up"

since my eyelids are like the 3rd picture. here's my attempt xP

    • Smudge-FREE
    • Soft & Elastic brush makes application EASY!
    • LONG LASTING
OVERALL, its my favorite eyeliner! although the packaging is booooring, but the results satisfies me :D if i ran out of eyeliner, i'd def buy this again.

    Sugar Candy Grey/Sweet Barbie Lens

the reason why the named title is because i have no idea what lenses these actually are. i bought this from Lens Town for $15. they were having this $3 off raya sale, original price is $18. so, i took the opportunity to buy what i've been eyeing on for a longgg time : Sugar Candy Lens.

grey color. claimed to be 14.5mm

im not sure if you can see the pattern

left : with lens. right : without lens
im suprised how big it looked on me.

    with both of them on

    outdoor lightning

    indoor lightning

    with flash

**MY DOUBTS! my inbox with the seller :)

so the seller asked me to take a picture of the bottle because he said he doesnt sell barbie lens. but since i threw away the bottle already, i only took a picture of the caps since it was still in my bag.

he then asked his supplier about my doubts :)
idk but its still weird that the bottle is image-less. lol. i've purchased so many lenses before, never encountered this before :o

    PRICE : 5/5 very affordable
COMFORT : 2/5 maybe its my natural eye diameter, but my eyes gets tear up when wearing these =.= i never really liked big lenses
ENLARGEMENT : 4/5 claimed to be 14.5mm but the effect it had on me is like 15mm ;(
COLOR : 3/5 for a dark brown eyed like me, the color dont really show up as i'd hope. but i'd look great with hazel eyes.
CUSTOMER SERVICE : 5/5 the seller was pretty helpful and dont mind when i asked questions regarding originality. i find some sellers to find it rather annoying and offensive =.= customer comes first :P
OVERALL : i really like how it looked, esp in pictures. but if only it doesnt sting my eyeeee. sigh. i think its because of the diameter. lol. i was never comfortable with big lenses. too big for my eye. so, i'd rate it 2/5
